Aird appointed to joint subcommittee on local government fiscal stress

RICHMOND — Del. Lashrecse Aird was appointed to the Joint Subcommittee on Local Government Fiscal Stress on Tuesday, April 18.

The Joint Subcommittee is tasked with reviewing causes of local fiscal stress and examining approaches to work with local governments to address instances of fiscal stress. A report from the Commission on Local Government revealed that 53 percent of Virginia’s counties and cities are experiencing above average or high fiscal stress.
